Welcome! I’m Dr. Ashley Hennessey, a clinical psychologist who works with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, and drained by the constant pressures of daily life. Many of my clients struggle to stay focused, manage responsibilities, or quiet the mental noise that keeps them spinning. They often feel on edge, caught in cycles of overthinking, worry, or perfectionism that make it hard to rest or feel at ease. I have particular experience working with physicians and other medical professionals who face unique stressors—the emotional toll of patient care, long hours, high stakes, and a culture that often discourages vulnerability. These challenges can be isolating, and therapy offers a space to process that experience without judgment or pressure to “push through.”
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, practical approach that helps people understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact—and how small, targeted changes can lead to meaningful shifts. CBT offers effective tools for breaking patterns that no longer serve you and building skills that support resilience and clarity.
At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel like a real human connection. I work to bring warmth, authenticity, and humor into our sessions, to create a space where my clients feel supported, seen, and empowered to move forward.
At this time, sessions are exclusively online. I am licensed in Pennsylvania, and I am also licensed through PsyPact. PsyPact licensure enables me to provide telepsychology in 41 additional states, including New Jersey and Delaware.
